TTC is on Strike, A Big Yippee for Commuters!

For those of you following the news, you know that today was the deadline for TTC negotiations. At its 2:30 p.m. press conference, the TTC announced that it will go on strike Monday, April 11. We encourage you to stay tuned to local media coverage should anything change over the weekend.

Just thought I would post this update for all of you that live in Toronto, or for those of you that despise Toronto, and laugh at all of us city dwellers. I will unfortunately be in San Francisco on Monday, thus missing the first day of what should surely be hell for commuters. The scoop is that they are not putting more GO buses on the road and will not be negotiating over the weekend .... so sorry for the update there is no getting out of this.

You are all welcome to post your royal comments to TTC as a form of therapy!

We have moved....
to the 'West Side'
Good-bye to our days of east side living and the crazy beaches, we are now on to continue our exploits in beautiful High Park. I have managed to find ourselves a small loft / large apartment if you can imagine what that means. We look forward to our new neighborhood with great shops, parks for the dog and mountain biking as well as easy access to the subway line. This final point, being a huge selling feature for me with and hour less on my commute everyday. I am now down to a whopping 40 minutes!
I will attach some snap shots below to show off the good stuff, the rest is for Matts alterations and beautification with what Im sure will be many paint treatments and works of art. I look forward to seeing what colors he will come up with this time (we have had grey, red, orange, many shades of green, and many job sites that included many in one room). So keep tuned and I will surely add in the updates of our experimental decorating challenge that we usually go through with most places. Ah all of those landlords, I laugh at their expressions when they come to get the rent cheque and the wall has been faux finished or better yet muralled.
I had an interesting move in with the assistance of Melissa, Don and Carol. Which proved to be the best work out I have ever had.... 3rd floor no elevator.... Quite funny. My legs were twitching in the morning.
So that is all for now... pics' coming soon!!
